Many moons ago while on tour, I ran into Sinéad O’Connor in San Francisco’s airport. Our interaction was brief but sweet. I invited her to my show and she invited me to hers only to find out we were both performing at the exact same time in different cities.
We kept in touch for a little, she really enjoyed my song “Freedom for Humanity” and am so glad I got to tell her how much her music meant to me. Sinéad O’Connor was a Grammy award winner, an activist, a voice for the voiceless. She had the courage to speak while others kept their silence. Rest in peace beautiful soul, your music lives.
